Navigation: TeamConnect User Interface > Enterprise Administrator Help > Account Administration > Groups

From a group's Tool Rights page, you can assign rights to tools. Afterward, the group members will be able to view and work with the tools.

Note: Some tools are available from the User application area and other tools are available from the Designer application area.

To assign group tool rights

1.Search for a group and open it.

2.To make tools available, from the left navigation pane, click Tool Rights.

oTo enable a tool for the group, select the tool's check-box.

oTo disable a tool, clear the tool's check-box.

3.Click a save option.

Select the check-box for each tool to enable:

•Contact Sweeper—Administrator's tool to perform a duplicate contacts check across the system. Recommend restricting access to this tool to system administrators.

•Design Snapshot Tool—Solution developer's tool to capture your latest design snapshot, provide a summary of archived design snapshots, generate design upgrade files. After the right is assigned, access this tool from the Designer area.

•Design Import Tool—Solution developer's tool to apply a design upgrade file to upgrade a QA or production TeamConnect instance from an older design version to a newer design version. After the right is assigned, access this tool from the Designer area.

•Reassignment Tool—Reassigns multiple appointments, projects, and tasks.

•Exchange Rates—Administrator's tool to update current exchange rates. For details see Updating Exchange Rates.

•Invoice Validation Rule Setting—Solution developer's tool to activate or deactivate invoice validation rules. After the right is assigned, access this tool from the Designer area. Members of the CSM Admin group have default access rights to the Invoice Validation Rule Setting tool.

•Global Search Index Tool—The Global Search Index Tool is utilized to update Global Search after objects have been enabled or disabled and clear search server information.

•Map Line Item Codes—Solution developer's tool to map invoice line item codes (fee/task codes, expense codes, or activity codes). This tool only appears on the Tool Rights page if it has been loaded in TeamConnect.

•Expense Unit Prices—Administrator's tool. For details, see Updating Expense Unit Prices.

•Data Import Wizard—Administrator's tool to import data from an Excel spreadsheet into TeamConnect fields. For details, see Importing Data to Create Records.

•Screen Designer—Solution developer's tool to build a screen block from a WYSIWYG layout. For details, see Using Screen Designer.

•Locale Manager—Solution developer's tool to control which locales are available to use as system default, or to choose as an end user's preference.

•(TeamConnect Legal Matter Management and TeamConnect® Express) Create Next Fiscal Budget—Business manager's tool to define the fiscal year for matter budgets.

•(TeamConnect Legal Matter Management and TeamConnect® Express) Legal Preferences Tool—Business manager's tool to set preferences for budget definition. For example, defining the budget year start, setting up budget detail levels.

•(TeamConnect Legal Matter Management only) Time Entry Tool—Business manager's tool to manage timekeepers' entries.

Note: Additional tools may be available depending on whether custom tools have been added to your system.
