1.Log in to Lotus Notes. 2.From the File menu, select Preferences, and then select Client Configuration Wizard. 3.Select the Internet mail servers (POP or IMAP, SMTP) check-box. 4.Click Next. 5.In the Select the type of server used for retrieving incoming mail drop-down box, click IMAP. 6.In the Enter a new account name or use the one provided to refer to this server drop-down box, click Incoming Internet mail. 7.In the Incoming mail server field, enter the TeamConnect server IP address, such as 10.2.1.15. 8.Click Next. 9.Enter your TeamConnect username and password. In the Account name field, enter your TeamConnect username. 10.In the Password field, enter your TeamConnect password. 11.Click Next. 12.Select Outgoing Internet mail from the top drop-down list. 13.Enter the Outgoing SMTP mail server name in the field. Lotus Notes requires you to make an entry its this field to save the IMAP account, but the value does not have to reference a valid SMTP server unless you plan to send email from this account.
14.Click Next. 15.Enter your Email address, if necessary. This value is only used if you want to send email from the IMAP account. 16.Enter your Internet domain, if necessary, and then click Next. 17.If your administrator set up the TeamConnect IMAP server to use a special computer port, perform the following actions: a.From the lower left navigation menu, click the Contacts (or Address Book) icon. b.From the Contacts left-navigation menu, expand the Advanced folder and select Accounts. c.From the right pane, select Incoming internet mail - IMAP Online. d.Select the Advanced tab. e.Click Edit Account. f.Enter the TeamConnect IMAP server port number in the Port Number field. This port number must match the port number entered for email by your administrator. Make sure your administrator provides the correct number for this field. If this number is incorrect, Lotus Notes is unable to find TeamConnect's email inbox.
g.Click Save and Close. h.Close the contacts view. |
