The TeamConnect IMAP server allows you to attach email messages to projects in TeamConnect.
Before you can use this feature, you need to set up a TeamConnect IMAP account on your email client. This TeamConnect IMAP account communicates with TeamConnect allowing it to access Email messages using your email client's IMAP folders.
Then, you may use your email client to drag and drop email from your existing email client folders to TeamConnect IMAP folders. The email messages appear in the TeamConnect documents list pages of the appropriate projects, in the user's Email folder (Inbox).
Note: The TeamConnect IMAP server is compatible with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), that is, HTTP(S).
TeamConnect supports the following email clients:
•Microsoft Outlook (2003)
•IBM Lotus Notes (Version 8 and 9)
Before using an IMAP server with TeamConnect, you must configure the TeamConnect IMAP settings. See the TeamConnect Administrator's Guide for more information.
