For TeamConnect, custom records are referred to in this guide as Projects. For TeamConnect Legal and TeamConnect® Express, custom records are referred to in this guide as Matters. In this guide, the terms project and matter can be considered as the same.

Involved Parties (Involved) are contacts associated with the Project/Matter, but not assigned to the Project/Matter. You must assign the appropriate rights to enable specific Involved-related operations, as explained in the following tables:

•The Basic Rights to Involved Contact table explains basic rights you may assign a group to allow its members to work with Involved Parties, for example, View Project involved and Edit Project involved.

•The Additional Involved Rights explains rights you must assign a group to allow its members to work with additional features that are part of an Involved Contact, for example, View Project involved security and Edit Project involved security.

Note: After creating a custom object (project), you must create an associated Involved object. Afterward you can assign rights for that Involved object.
