The following example demonstrates a sample case where a custom field is created, added to an existing category, and made available for editing on a record. For the purposes of this example, a text custom field named "Terrain" will be added to Disputes with the category Environmental and sub-category Land Use. These categories exist prior to this procedural; for more detail on creating Categories, please see Using Categories.

The field will be made available for mass edit.

 

Creating a Custom Field

 

1. Click Setup.

2. From the resulting pop-up window, click Object Definitions from the Go to... drop-down list.

3. Click Dispute.

4. Click the Custom Fields tab. Enter the desired details into the text boxes. See image below for example.
